CSC has developed advanced data export, data cleanup, and data conversion technology. This technology utilizes a Single Source Dictionary (SSD) artifact database repository, along with machine learning (ML) algorithms and AI-powered workflows, which have been perfected over the past twenty-five years to facilitate the movement of critical business data between systems.
As system integrators and database engineers, our team has invested over 350,000 hours creating data conversions from more than 125 different ERP and Accounting systems, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct, JE Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Baan ERP, Oracle Financials, SAP, and Sage. By using a library of custom-mapped business rules extracted from each ERP and accounting system and stored in our SSD database repository, along with our data cleaning, mapping, and conversion scripts, we produce a more accurate, functional, and complete end product for our customers.
The Founding of CSC: Our Story
The company was founded by seasoned professionals with a quarter-century of experience as database designers, systems integrators, and chief software architects for leading international corporations and government agencies. Our founders’ work on mission-critical business systems has been recognized with prestigious honors, including their role as high-level database and system architects for Boeing’s programs that won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 1998 and 2003.
Our founders also served as chief software architects on the team that developed the Boeing Object Standard (BOS). This corporate artifact object database and Visio-based application was designed to visually map, model, and optimize cross-functional business processes. Additionally, they contributed to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) XML Working Groups alongside key organizations such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle.
A significant achievement was their five-year project to map and merge over 1,000 business system databases across seven major functional silos into a single, unified data source. This initiative created a central source of truth for business analysis, reporting, and command and control (C2) operations by documenting and capturing process artifacts from core business functions, including: Manufacturing management: Encompassing production planning, shop floor control, and quality assurance for both made-to-order and made-to-stock scenarios. Supply chain management: Optimizing inventory, warehousing, logistics, and procurement. Project management: Tracking costs, schedules, and resources for complex, project-based work. Financial management: Managing general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting across multiple currencies for global operations.
Leveraging this extensive experience in database engineering, systems integration, and large-scale ERP design, the company was established to address the critical need for a robust data conversion solution tailored for the small and medium enterprise (SME) market. We developed a suite of data mapping, data export, and data conversion tools to deliver these solutions to our customers.
